She must have thought she was at an abortion clinic because she made no attempt to hide her bitter disgust at the prospect of being pregnant. Her positive test result proved she was. Remarkably, still in the same terrible mood after counseling, she agreed to have an ultrasound. It could have been mere curiosity that motivated her or the realization that she needed to know "exactly how far along" she was before having an abortion. In either case, she left to go directly to the nearby facility to which we make referrals. The counselor did ask her to return, even knowing there was little chance of that happening. Remarkably [again], she did return changed, but hard to read except that she was totally intent on having more time with her counselor. About ten minutes later, she came out of the counselor's office in a mood that was perfectly BEAUTIFUL. She had been showing off pictures of her baby. Beaming and full of smiles she announced that she was on her way to the drugstore to buy vitamins. To witness an incredible transformation such as this is to know the value of a ministry such as ours, and the value of the marvelous technology of ultrasound.</p> <p><b>We Give Thanks</b><br> Tremendous thanks to all those who helped make possible the success of our expansion project. To Kathleen Bindley, our in-house designer, carpenter, electrician, plumber, supervisor, decorator and more, we offer special praise and appreciation. Kathleen for many, many months has literally worked day and night. Her exceptional dedication and skills have proven invaluable to our ministry for which she demonstrates the greatest respect. Our most profound gratitude, of course, goes to God who continues to bless us most abundantly.</p> <p><b>Wish List #1 Ultrasounds</b><br> Because an ultrasound early in pregnancy so often helps a mother begin bonding with her precious, living child, we want to offer this awesome opportunity to as many of our Aid For Women<sup>®</sup> clients as possible, especially those who are abortion minded.
